Benton First United Methodist
To Grow Toward Jesus And Make God Known
Seekers Class
This class supports each other as they grow toward God. The group explores the Bible as it relates to everyday life. The class has as its mission project the Foster Care Organization and the Helping Hands Food Pantry. This class is an excellent choice for those who have been in church all their lives or for those who are new in their faith.  Tijuana Fowler and Deborah Blankenship teach this class.

GREAT COMMISSION DAY
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2010

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:18-20

Great Commission Day is our annual day to worship together and then work side by side in mission and ministry, serving others as Jesus did.

Our schedule for the day is as follows:
9:30am - Combined adult Sunday School in sanctuary (Preschool - Youth meet in regular classrooms)
10:30am - Combined worship service (Dr. Rick Dye, speaker)
12:00noon - Sandwich luncheon
1:00-5:00pm - break off into various miision teams
5:00pm - Dinner
Following dinner - Closing worship, time of reflection

It's never too late to decide where to become involved on GCD, either ~ extra hands and feet are always needed!  Please plan to join us for the day ~ you're guaranteed to receive a blessing!
